Little Mandy was the most adorable puppy, her owners even got her a collar that says 'I'm the big dog'. As she grew bigger, her family seemed to have lost interest and neglected to notice the beginning stages of mange (easily treated) that was starting to form on Mandy's skin. Once they noticed, they chose to ignore it. It slowly took over and spread all over her little body. She now has open, bleeding sores and huge areas of raw, bloody patches. Just look at her legs and paws, her sweet face and her raw side and tummy. Although Demodectic mange is not contagious, it is painful and extremely itchy. We can't even imagine what this young pup of only 5 months must be going through. Seems like her owners just dumped her somewhere and she was picked up by animal control. We got the call from the shelter that she was to be euthanized, so we dropped everything and drove long distance to get her right away. She is emaciated and had a fever when we dropped her off at the Vet's office. Although her condition is easily treated, it does take time and money to get her the best treatment and care possible. We, again, need your financial help to pay for Mandy's medical bills. No donation amount is too small!
